Inductive Sensing Techniques

Inductors are active sensors if sensing a changing magnetic field (Faraday’s Law). In terms of passive sensing, we have:

• Inductance to Digital Converter IC (LDC) does the heavy lifting
• Senses change in LC resonant frequency
