CSE | CLAS 104 - Taking before |
Taken already: |
- MTE 322
- CSE
Remaining 3B:
- MTE 352 – MECH 2210 Fluid Mechanics
- MTE 360 – ELEC 3200 Systems Modeling, Analysis and Control
- (50/50) MSCI 261
- MTE 380
So basically I need to take two 4A courses in Hong Kong, a TE and a CSE (can’t take MTE 484 because MTE 360 is a pre-req):
- TE: MTE 544
- CSE: List C
4A:
- MTE 484
- MTE 481
- TE
- TE
- CSE
3B:
- MTE 322
- CSE
- MTE 352 – MECH 2210 Fluid Mechanics
- MTE 360 – ELEC 3200 Systems Modeling, Analysis and Control
- MSCI 261
- MTE 380
4A:
- MTE 484
- MTE 481
- TE
- TE
- CSE
If I can get MSCI 261 equivalent, I don’t need to take a 4A course in HK.
- Just take MTE 544 equivalent
- Not sure ELEC 4260 will be approved as a MTE 544 equivalent?
- This one actually seems more interesting…
- According to Thom, doesn’t need to match
- Pro: Dodge course selection fight for this course in 4A
- Pro: Learn valuable robotics knowledge earlier
- Neutral: Could be a GPA booster in Waterloo but not sure
- Con: Could be time-consuming
- Not sure ELEC 4260 will be approved as a MTE 544 equivalent?
- Just take CSE equivalent:
- Pro: Lighter courseload than above, more time for traveling
- Con: Getting rid of potential GPA booster in Waterloo
- Take both:
- Pro: Low courseload during 4A term, can focus on MTE 380
- Con: Higher courseload during exchange, less traveling time
Decision:
- Enroll in both and drop if needed based on professor/workload before Feb 15
CSE list:
- HUMA 2330 - Anime (time conflict? but can switch to ELEC 3200 LA2?)
- HUMA 1102 - Enjoyment of Classical Music (time conflict?)
- HUMA 2104 - Music Theory I: Introduction to Tonal Music (too hard?)
- HUMA 2911 - Buddhism: Origin and Growth (boring?)
- HUMA 2202 - The Modern Japanese Novel (boring?)
- HUMA 1160 - Weiqi and Chinese Culture (1 unit)
- Seems fun but early Monday morning…
