Turbines

Turbines extract work by passing fluid over a set of spinning blades. Typically:

• Well insulated/adiabatic ($\dot{Q}\approx 0$)
• $\Delta \text{PE}\approx 0$
• $\Delta \text{KE}\approx 0$
  • KE and PE may not be 0 but are negligible compared to change in enthalpy
